CHILD RESISTANT MEDICENE CONTAINER CLOSURE ASSEMBLY WITH REDUCED REMOVAL TORQUE USING AT LEAST ONE BUT NOT ALL ENGAGING TEETH BETWEEN LID AND CONTAINER
A child safety and tamper resistant assembly for bottles and medicament containers consisting a lid and containers, the container neck containing at least one screw thread and a ring of external radial teeth and a retaining bead positioned axially between external projections and spiral ridge. The lid or closure has an internal thread to mate or fit with the container's thread, a tamper indicating band consisting of tabs connected together by rupturable bridges into a ring that is easily fractured or broken upon twisting or opening. The exterior surfaces of the tabs have sloping teeth spaced by gaps, and the tabs are folded inwards so that the teeth now project towards the central axis of the closure. The two sets of teeth engage in an interference fit to securely lock the lid to the container. At least one but not all teeth engage so as to reduce the opening torque required and to allow some initial backoff before breaking the tamper band links. A sealing disk is inserted into a locating groove in the lid.
