Disclosed is a compound as depicted which is ((1R,3R)- 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2-methylprop-1-enyl)cyclopropyl)methyl (2R)-acetoxy-3-methylbutanoate or a salt thereof. Also disclosed is a method of controlling or monitoring by attracting Citrophilous mealybugs to an area or object that includes a means of catching, immobilising and/or killing Citrophilous mealybugs. Controlling maybe by disrupting the mating of mealy bugs.
