An apparatus for providing an interactive user interface for display of electronic programme guide data is disclosed. The apparatus includes means for receiving programme scheduling data for a number of programmes and means for providing a display space for displaying at least a portion of the received programme scheduling data as a grid of user selectable programme entities. The means for providing a display space is operable to display the received programme scheduling data at one of at least three levels of zoom in response to a user zoom command with an increasing amount of information displayed for each entity at each successive increased zoom level. The navigation of the displayed grid of user-selectable programme entities is provided at each of said levels of zoom.
