Gene expression markers (CMYC and Ki-67) for colorectal cancer prognosis

Disclosed is a method of predicting clinical outcome for a human subject following surgical resection of colorectal cancer, the method comprising: a.) Determining a normalised levels of RNA transcript of CMYC and Ki-67, or an expression product thereof, in a biological sample comprising cancer cells obtained from said human subject; and b.) Predicting the likelihood of a positive clinical outcome for said human subject by comparing said normalised levels to gene expression data obtained from colorectal cancer reference samples derived from patients with colorectal cancer, wherein increased normalised levels of an RNA transcript of CMYC and Ki-67, or an expression product thereof, is positively correlated with an increased likelihood of a positive clinical outcome.
