SPRAY OR SHOWER ARRANGEMENT AND SHOWER INSERT

A basin collects water sprayed from a shower head. A heat exchanger (15) comprises a metal sheet of rectangular waveform cross section having alternating vertical and horizontal panels (13,14). The collected sprayed water flows on one side of the metal sheet, and water in cold water delivery line flows on the other side of the metal sheet for pre-heating. The heat exchanger disposed beneath the basin transfers heat from collected sprayed water to water in cold water delivery line to pre-heat the water. The cold water delivery line and a hot water delivery line are connected to a mixer leading to the spray head. An independent claim is also included for a shower insert for use in existing shower installation without heat recovery.
