The invention relates to a multi-purpose non-conventional positive displacement pump with rotary piston, which may be used for liquids and gases, with high conveyance power and high degree of fluid compression, which ensures by the rotary piston and the rotary shutter the maximum of technical and economical efficiency. According to the invention, the pump comprises a rotary piston (6) and a rotary shutter (7), and a body (1) of the pump together with a main cover (2) and a secondary cover (3) forms the pumping chamber in the shape of a torus sector having the same cross-section as the cross-section of the rotary piston (6) and, at the same time, the sucking chamber, while some toothed wheels (11), some axles (21), some double-row radial-axial bearings (13), some single-row radial-axial bearings (8), some screws for securing the toothed wheels (12), a grooved wedge (10), an angular support (5) and an angular closure cover (14) synchronize the motion between the rotary shutter (7) and the rotary piston (6) due to the transmission ratio of 1:1 that said kinematic link ensures, during the rotation motion the rotary piston (6) and the rotary shutter (7) having no common surface or points to maintain a permanent contact within a range of 360°, either between them, or with the body (1) of the pump, or with the main cover (2) or the secondary cover (3).
