The invention relates to a gravity pin-on-disc micro-tribometer which permits the sliding friction forces to be determined under small normal load conditions which are specific to the sliding micro-tribological systems. According to the invention, the micro-tribometer consists of a disc () mounted on a shaft which rests on a bearing (), a vertically slidable pin () being supported by a carrier () to which there is fixed a resilient blade (), a carrier () which provides for the fixing of the resilient blade () at the other end thereof and the attachment to the pin () of the stand which horizontally moves by means of a guide ().
