A continuous process for the preparation of citric acid, wherein fermentation process is carried out in one stage under the temperature of 28-30 ºC and pH of the medium 3.5-4.0, where a fermentative mixture is treated with a rotary pulse generating apparatus in recirculation mode with the shear velocity of 50·10s.
