A method for differentiating and identifying spring and winter forms of barley includes molecular genetic analysis on the basis of polymerase chain reaction. The DNA-marker to the locus Hval is used, which allows determining the winter or spring forms of barley directly and distinguishing thereof between each other on the basis of the specific DNA spectrum.
