METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING RETARDED PSYCHOMOTOR DEVELOPMENT OF CHILD BASED ON COEFFICIENT OF FUNCTIONAL ASYMMETRY OF CEREBRAL HEMISPHERES ACCORDING TO FINDINGS OF TAPPING-TEST

A method for diagnosing the retarded psychomotor development of the child is based on tapping-test performed by right and left hands separately and sequentially. The child taps with the special handle on the board for 30 s trying to keep the maximal rate of tapping. The coefficient of the functional asymmetry of the cerebral hemispheres is determined according to the formula. When the calculated value exceeds 4.0, the retarded psychomotor development of the child is diagnosed.
