The method for treating failure of sapheno-femoral junction and the trunk of the great saphenous vein comprises crossectomy of the failed sapheno-femoral junction followed by catheter-assisted scleroobliteration of the trunk of the great saphenous vein and miniflebectomy. The catheter with balloon is inserted into the varicosed vain. The balloon is inflated with air to the size of vein diameter that was previously assessed. The blood is evacuated from the vein cavity with simultaneous injection of foaming sclerosant Foam-Form. The catheter is removed completely, the limb is bandaged elastically centripetally, and the wound is sutured.
