A method for predicting the course of anterior endogenous uveitis comprises the assessment of T and B cells, subpopulations of T cells, total IgA, IgM, IgG in blood serum and secretory IgA in lacrimal fluid. Anti-endotoxin IgM are assayed in blood serum. Endotoxin binding potential (EBP) of granulocytes and monocytes is assayed in peripheral blood. When the level of anti-endotoxin IgM is below 0.144±0.018 conventional units of optical density, EBP of monocytes is below 1.38±0.11 conventional units of fluorescence and EBP of granulocytes is below 0.95±0.05 conventional units of fluorescence, the recurrent course of anterior endogenous uveitis is suggested.
