A channel for measurement of slant range to aircrafts with multifunctional longitudinal mode selector and possibility of aircraft identification for laser information and measuring system of a launch-site test complex comprises a control element, block for control of deflectors, pumped laser, multifunctional longitudinal mode selector, prisms for frequency of inter-mode beats vand 2v, transmitting optics, receiving optics, photo-detectors, broad band amplifier, multi-functional information block with b input of signal of tangent component of velocity (angular velocities) of the aircraft that is measured, resonance amplifiers adjusted to respective frequencies of inter-mode beats, pulse formers, trigger "1"|"0", circuit AND, counters (C), filter with given pass band, detector, differential optics, amplifier, filter, differentiating circuits, rectifiers and a block for representation of measuring information on slant range R to the aircraft. After the C instead of electronic-digital computing machine a computer is included.
