A device for diagnosing carious lesions of teeth using optical radiation comprises the fiber optic probe with lighting and receiving channels and electronic system with a display. As emitters "blue" and "red" light-emitting diodes are used, which are connected in parallel through inter-calibrator to the generator of bipolar meanders, making light-emitting diodes emitting in antiphase, photo detectors channel contains only one fiber "sleeve" and one photo detector without filters. For the output S signal the discharge from electrical signal is used with variable and constant component by which calibration and relative information output signal is formed, which does not depend on external factors and, at the same time, indicates the presence of caries.
