A method for degassing a coal-rock massif at development of a group of coal seams according to which one determines height of safe underworking for face conditions, and as a face-collector one uses an operating development working of neighboring coal seam placed over the seam, this is separated by distance not smaller than height. In the coal-rock massif one determines location of layers sources of methane with bedding in zone of underworking higher than the rocks of main roofing. One intersects those layers with degassing wells, and the area of cross section of the pipeline of degassing system one takes as larger than the total area of cross sections of degassing wells drilled in the working-collector. Degassing is carried out after underworking degassing wells with breakage face.
