The hinge underlays are fixed externally and internally on the positive cast of the limbs at the sites of the hinges; the underlays for the straps are fixed on the rear surface of the positive cast on the horizontal surface of the thigh and the lower leg. The knee and ankle hinges are made of high-density thermoplastic material using the templates and fixed onto the corresponding hinge underlays on the internal surface of the positive cast. The stiffening straps designed as the half-rings made of aluminum or titanium are fixed onto the underlays for the stiffening straps. Upon being manufactured, the whole workpiece for the sleeves of thigh, lower leg and foot is generated with the lodgment on the internal surfaces intended for the hinges and the stiffening straps. On the rear of the leg sleeve, the skeletonized opening is cut, and the notch is generated. The foot sleeve covers the lower part of the foot in the area of the heel and the arch of the foot. In the lodgments with the underlays, the knee and ankle hinges made of thermoplastic material are attached on the internal side of the orthesis, while metallic hinges are attached externally. In the corresponding lodgments with the underlays in the rear of the sleeves for the thigh and the leg, the stiffening straps made of the light-weight metal are attached. When necessary, the hip hinge is attached externally to the thigh sleeve and connected to the belt or the support for the hip area.
