A mite composition comprising: - a breeding population of the species of phytoseid predatory mites (phytoseiid), Amblyseius Swirskii; - a factitious host population comprising at least one species of Astigmatid mites; - a vehicle for the individuals of said populations characterized in that the Astigmatid mite is selected from: i) Pyroglyphidae, such as of the genus Dematophagoides, p. ex. Dematophagoides pteronysinus, Dematophagoides farinae; of the genus Euroglyphus, p. ex. Euroglyphus longior, Euroglyphus maynei; of the genus Pyroglyphus p. ex. Pyroglyphus africanus; ii) Glyciphagidae such as Glycyphagus p. ex. Glycyphagus destructor, Glycyphagus domesticus; of the genus Lepidoglyphus p. ex. Lepidoglyphus destroyer.
