Apparatus designed to increase the capacity of accommodating a parallelepiped cage hens with a front trough (2) filled with a dispensing nozzle (5a) provided in the base of a hopper slide dispenser (5), apparatus characterized by comprising: - one secondary manger (6) designed to be mounted internally of the side walls (4) of each cage (1) consisting of a channel-shaped chute arranged such that the upper opening (6a) protrudes externally on the wall front of the cage at a height above the front trough (2) - an inclined downward (5c) through which protrudes from the rear wall of the dispensing nozzle (5) and ends with a nozzle of additional dispensing (5b) to a height slightly above the opening (6a) of the secondary trough (6) - means (7) designed to assure permanent closure of said nozzle further dispensing (5b) - means (8) designed for the sactivar said closing means (7) of the nozzle further dispensed (5b) only during the time required for the nozzle (5b) traverse the space corresponding to the width of the opening (6a) of the additional trough (6), along with the hopper slide dispenser (5).
