An aqueous pressure sensitive adhesive, fading retardant, comprising an aqueous latex emulsion having an average particle size diameter of less than or equal to 100 nm, consisting essentially of: a) at least one acrylate of ethyl having at least 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl group; b) at least one ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or its corresponding anhydride; c) at least one styrenic monomer, in which optionally up to 100% of the styrenic monomer is replaced with one or more monomers selected from the group consisting of methyl methacrylate, isobornyl acrylate and vinyl acetate; d) a crosslinker; e) a chain transfer agent; f) a mixture of monomers comprising beta-carboxyethyl acrylate; g) a redox type free radical initiator system; and in which n is an integer of 1-200.
