Antibody having specific affinity for an antigenic determinant site produced by the reaction of the cleavage enzyme VWF ADAMTS13 with von Willebrand factor (VWF) or with a peptide having the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID No. 1 provided in the sequence listing, but no specific affinity for VWF or the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID No. 1 provided in the sequence listing, wherein the determining antigenic site is a peptide comprising at its C the amino acid sequence: Gln Arg Glu Asn Pro Ala Val Leu Tyr.
