HIGH DRAINAGE DIMENSIONALLY STABLE BROWNSTOCK WASHER BELT DESIGN

High drainage dimensionally stable brownstock washer belt and a method ofproducing the same are disclosed. The belt is produced from a multi-layerwovenfabric that is woven in a high density weave pattern. The fabric may be seemedtoform an endless structure or may be woven endless for belt use. The fabric ismadefrom one or more of polyphenylene sulfide, polyetheretherketone andKEVLAR®.The belt exhibits high degree of fiber support and void volume to eliminatesheetsealing and to facilitate maximum drainage potential and production rate withminimum machine adjustment. Its high fiber support reduces the vacuumrequirements in the formation zone resulting in the formation of a pulpsheet/mat,which creates optimal conditions for the subsequent counter current washingthatoccurs in the displacement zone and increases belt life. Its high fibersupport alsoimproves machine flexibility to handle larger variations in stock consistency.
