A system and method for determining action spot locations relative to thelocation of amobile device includes a display and a processor module communicativelycoupled to thedisplay. The processor module is configured to receive executable instructionsto display agraphical user interface of the display; receive data indicative of thecurrent location of themobile device; and determine at least one action spot relative to the currentlocation of themobile device. The processor module can signify the action spot on thegraphical user interfaceand provide an indication of activity level occurring at the action spot. Theaction spot can be alocation where at least one other mobile device has engaged in documentingaction within apredetermined period of time from when the mobile device arrived at thecurrent location.
