The invention relates to a method for assessing the susceptibility of a microbial population to drugs, by means of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), comprising the following steps: preparing a sample of the culture medium, which is suitable for analysis by NMR; preparing a sample of the microbial population, which is suitable for analysis by NMR; preparing a sample containing the microbial population, to which the antimicrobial drug is added; and analysing and/or quantifying, by means of NMR, the result obtained from the previous steps using suitable tests.
