Provided is an inverse transformation table generation method which enables acquisition of a predetermined image before viewpoint transformation is performed on the image.The inverse transformation table generation method is a method for generating an inverse transformation table (T1) for generating, from a viewpoint-transformed image, an image before viewpoint transformation processing related to the viewpoint-transformed image is performed as an inverse-transformed image. In said method, a distance (L) (a, b) between transformation reference coordinates (P) (a, b) stored in table coordinates (a, b) in a viewpoint transformation table (T2) and table coordinates (i, j) to be calculated in an inverse transformation table (T1) is calculated for respective transformation reference coordinates, and inverse transformation reference coordinates (A) (i, j) to be stored in table coordinates (i, j) to be calculated in the inverse transformation table (T1) are calculated on the basis of the table coordinates (a, b) in the viewpoint transformation table (T2), and the distance (L) (a, b) related to the transformation reference coordinates stored in the table coordinates (a, b).
