In order to more accurately distinguish malignant tumors by more appropriately detecting the characteristics of pulsations of cancerous tumors, the malignant tissue tumor detection method of the present invention includes: a block dividing step (S100) that divides the area that has been subjected to ultrasound scanning into a plurality of blocks; a tissue pulsation estimation step (S101) that estimates tissue pulsation, which can be defined as the temporal change of tissue displacement caused by the pulsation of tissue, in each of a plurality of blocks on the basis of a scan signal; a pulsation-related characteristic extraction step (S103) that extracts a plurality of pulsation-related characteristics comprising the parameters of tissue pulsations from tissues pulsations in each of a plurality of blocks; a distribution properties calculation step (S104) that calculates distribution properties of a plurality of pulsation-related characteristics in each of in a plurality of blocks; and a malignancy classification step (S105) that classifies whether each of plurality of blocks are malignant blocks containing malignant tumors on the basis of these distribution properties.
