A method and system for implementing cross-segment signaling intercommunication in a video conference system are provided in the present invention, which is used to implement the registration, admission and status (RAS) signaling intercommunication between terminals in different network segments and the gatekeeper in the external network. The method includes: a terminal registers to an RAS agent, after receiving an RAS signaling message sent from the terminal, the RAS agent establishes a mapping relationship between the sequence number in the RAS signaling message and the source IP address and port of the terminal, and forwards the RAS signaling message to the gatekeeper; after receiving an RAS response message returned from the gatekeeper, the RAS agent sends, according to the established mapping relationship, the RAS response message to the corresponding terminal.
