Methods and devices for determining Radio Link Failure (RLF) reason and adjusting handover parameter threshold are provided in the present invention. Through the statistical analysis on the handover data of the User Equipment (UE) in the cell handover procedure, the RLF reason is determined. For example, through obtaining the identifier information of a first cell in which the UE is located when the RLF occurs, the identifier information of a second cell and the identifier information of a third cell with which the UE re-establishes the connection after the RLF occurs and then according to the signal strength information, when it is judged that the variety trend of the reference signal strength in a preset period is weakening gradually, the identifier information of the second cell and the third cell are consistent by comparison and the identifier information of the first cell and the third cell are inconsistent by comparison, the RLF reason can be determined as a too early handover occurring when the UE is handed over from said second cell to said first cell, therefore enabling RLF reason determination.
