The disclosed raw-material mixture for an alkali-metal/transition-metal complex oxide contains a flux containing an inorganic salt, an alkali-metal compound containing a compound different from the flux, and a transition-metal compound, and has the necessary oxidation potential for the flux to produce the alkali-metal/transition-metal complex oxide at a temperature at which the raw-material mixture is kept during firing.
