摘要

The present invention relates to a process for producing a carbon-ceramic-material-based electrochemical sensor that is used for determining the oxygen dissolved in water and an additional subject matter of the present invention is said sensor. The sensor consists of a material containing SiO2/SnO2 and the electroactive species is synthesized in situ within the mixed oxide. The sensor displays good performance, has good mechanical strength, exhibits reproducibility, is selective, has a long life span and a good detection limit of the order of ppb (parts per billion). The sensor can be used within various areas, for environmental monitoring, in wastewater treatment plants and for controlling O2 concentrations in industrial processes.
