A system and method for remote management of a sensor network. The system receives data from different sensors that transmit data in different format and extract sensor output data from the received data. The system analyzes the data to determine whether an alert should be generated. If an alert is needed, the system generates an alert message and transmits the message to a mobile device. The system can also receive messages from mobile devices to modify the system configuration.
