A method for decomposing organic matter from inanimate bodies in an aerobic environment, induced by heat and negative pressure, and gas inactivating equipment for the method for decomposing organic matter from inanimate bodies in an aerobic environment, induced by heat and negative pressure. The invention is designed, preferentially, for use in vertical cemeteries, enabling the construction of same in urban city areas and without harming the environment, transforming the decomposition of inanimate bodies, which generate necro-leachate, that is highly toxic and pollutant, into gaseous decomposition that is clean, breathable and non-polluting. The invention consists of maintaining the decomposing body in a hermetically closed chamber (3), having a small duct (2) for introducing air received from the filter (1), and a second duct (4) which extracts the gases produced during evaporation of the liquids, with the extraction volume being higher than that of the filtered fresh air entering, thereby creating negative pressure inside the chamber, an agent for accelerating decomposition and liquid evaporation, maximized by the heat generated by the decomposition process itself, which is naturally exothermic, and sending the generated gases to the equipment, which consists of 3 compartments, the first (13) being designed to receive the gases, the second compartment (14) being designed for the obstacles or raching rings (6), within which the gases will contact the alkaline liquid causing chemical reactions which will transform the harmful gases, and the third compartment (15) being designed to receive the treated gases and release these into the atmosphere by means of the exhaust (11).
