An atomic fluorescence spectrometry and a spectrometer for detecting Cr (VI) are disclosed in present invention. The atomic fluorescence spectrometer comprises an evaporator, an excitation light source, an atomizer, a photodetector and a computer, wherein, the evaporator comprises a hermetic shell, a heating boat and a power supply. The heating boat is placed in the hermetic shell. Gas inlet and gas exhaust port are provided in the hermetic shell. The heating boat is connected with the power supply. The gas exhaust port of the evaporator is connected with the atomizer through conduit. The atomic fluorescence spectrometry comprises: the temperature of the sample to be detected is raised to 1000℃~1400℃ in the mixed gas of hydrogen and argon,thus drying and ashing the sample to be detected; the temperature of residue formed after ashing is raised to 2000℃~2600℃, the vapor obtained is secondarily atomized, and then the content of Cr(VI) is detected through atomic fluorescence. The atomic fluorescence spectrometry and spectrometer for detecting Cr(VI) of present invention have high sensitivity, simple spectral lines and low interference.
