IMPLEMENT METHOD AND DEVICE OF PROTECTION SWITCHING PROTOCOL USING IP COMMUNICATION MODE

In an apparatus for performing APS under IP communication mode, modulating units are provided for multiplexing/de-multiplexing multiple optical services and supervisory messages into main optical service wavelengths and a supervisory wavelength. An IP exchanger for receiving supervisory wavelength delivers the carried APS signaling in a manner of IP packet towards an APS control system in order to perform the APS in nodes. The present invention overcomes the problem in the related art that signaling direction information cannot be obtained directly and avoid the potential risk caused by increase of quantity of signaling packets.
