The invention relates to a method for visually displaying environment-related properties (28k, 28z) of a production process using an electronic computer, to a program code for carrying out this method and to a data storage medium which stores such a program code. The invention provides for the method to involve both presentation of the data records with a value for the environment-related property under consideration and the use of different presentation elements (28z, 28k) for this. In addition, data records with data relating to the physical position and extent of the production units (27a, 27b) are also displayed, with an explicit physical association being made with the displayed environment-related properties (28z, 28k)(for example power consumption). This displays environment-related aspects of a planning variant for the factory planning in an advantageously easily understandable manner, which advantageously facilitates optimization of the factory planning.
