A probe pressing component according to an embodiment of the present invention relates to an image diagnostic device that acquires and generates tomography of a subject to be measured, said probe pressing component making a long probe that is positioned to project from a leading end of an inserted part of an endoscope abut the subject to be measured along the longitudinal axis thereof and carry out a measurement of same. Said probe pressing component comprises: a support body that is supported by the leading end of the inserted part and is positioned in a direction that is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the probe; and a balloon that can be both inflated and deflated at will, which is positioned between the probe and the support body. The probe pressing component is configured such that inflating the balloon brings the balloon into contact with the probe and the support body, and that the pressure resulting from the inflation of the balloon presses the probe into abutting the subject to be measured along the longitudinal axis thereof.
