Disclosed are a deflection correction mechanism for a sheet-type medium and a medium processing device having the deflection correction mechanism. The deflection correction mechanism comprises: a deflection correction roller assembly (1); an adjustment roller assembly (2); a sensor, for detecting a medium in a medium passage; and a control mechanism. The deflection correction roller assembly (1) comprises a first driving roller (12) and a paper pressing mechanism (11) used with the first driving roller, the sheet-type medium being deflectably located between the first driving roller (12) and the paper pressing mechanism (11). The adjustment roller assembly (2) is located downstream of the deflection correction roller assembly in the direction in which the medium is conveyed and comprises a second driving roller (22) and a driven roller (21) disposed tangent to the second driving roller. The control mechanism is used for controlling rotation of the first driving roller (12) and delaying the start of the second driving roller (22) when the sensor detects the medium. The present invention has a compact structure and can correct deflection of the medium within a short transmission distance.
