Provided is a novel material which does not contain compounds which undergo interfacial peeling or compounds which are not present in living organisms, such as sulfuric acid or nitric acid, and which has both high strength and high biocompatibility. The present invention is a composite material which has a CaTiO3 structure and which is obtained by subjecting a mixture of titanium and hydroxyapatite to mechanical alloying and then sintering.
