In a method for producing a hole reinforcement in a component (40) made of a fiber plastic composite, having circular recesses (11) running transversely to the component surface for receiving fastening elements, axles, shafts, and the like, reinforcing fibers in the form of carbon fibers are deposited and introduced into a plastic matrix in a manner appropriate with the stress. In order that the reinforcing fibers (13) can be simply and quickly deposited with the fibers oriented in a manner appropriate with the stress or load, according to the invention the reinforcing fibers are placed tangentially oriented to the recess, wherein the individual loops run approximately radially around the recess.
