A multiple-layer beamforming method and device for a downlink single-user in a time - division duplexing (TDD) system are provided in the present invention. The method includes that: an evolved Node B (eNB) acquires a downlink channel matrix according to an estimated uplink channel matrix, and obtains a gain and transmitting weight value of each space channel layer according to the downlink channel matrix; the eNB, using the gain of each space channel layer, calculates the signal-to-noise ratio of the data, which arrive at the receiving terminal, transmitted by different space channel layers, in order to acquire the K space channel layers which can transmit data correctly; the eNB respectively loads specific pilot frequency on the data transmitted by the K space channel layers, multiplies the data transmitted by the K space channel layers by the corresponding transmitting weight values, and transmits them via antennas. The present invention unifies the consideration of the data of the multiple layers and farthest utilizes channel capacity, thereby adequately and reasonably utilizing the resources of the space channel.
