The present invention relates to a control system for smart clothing having an optical fiber fabric display and to a method for controlling same which is linked with a smartphone, the control system for a plurality of smart clothing that is controlled by means of linking a smartphone comprising: a fabric display which is formed by weaving optical fiber; a communication unit for transreceiving a control signal of the fabric display by means of communication between the smartphone and smart clothing in the vicinity; a coordinate output unit for outputting location coordinates based on the location signal which is relayed from the smart clothing in the vicinity using the communication unit; a saving unit for saving the coordinates which are output by the coordinate output unit; and a control unit for controlling the actuation of the fabric display based on the control signal and the location coordinates. By using the control system for smart clothing having the optical fiber fabric display and the method for controlling same linked with the smartphone, the present invention can control the fabric display that is provided on the plurality of smart clothing so as to uniformly display an identical letter or an image, or can individually control and combine each of the fabric displays so as to display an integrated letter or image.
