Methods of gas-liquid interface mediated molecule manipulation are provided. Aspects of the methods also include subjecting a molecule to a liquid gas interface between a liquid and a gas in a manner sufficient to manipulate the molecule in a desired manner, e.g., stretch the molecule, position the molecule on a substrate, etc. Also provided are devices and systems for practicing the methods. The methods, devices and systems find use in a variety of applications.
