The device has an evaporator (3) located in a housing (2), and a set of temperature flaps (6) for distributing air to the evaporator through a heating duct passing through a heater (4) and through a cold air bypass extending over the heater. The temperature flaps are arranged in the housing such that the temperature flaps lie perpendicular to a plastic hollow section comprising the airflow in a cooling condition. An opening is formed in an air flowing side of the hollow section, where the cold air from the evaporator enters into the interior of the hollow section through the opening.
