The invention relates to a device for the controlled release of pheromones from a rubber matrix into which a support material that is loaded with pheromones is incorporated. The load quantity of all the pheromone in relation to the total quantity of the support material and the pheromone is 20 to 60 wt.%. The invention further relates to a composite consisting of a plurality of said devices for attracting insect pests and to the use of the device in traps for catching insect pests. The mass ratio of the rubber matrix to the support material with the pheromone is 1 : 0.1 to 1 : 0.18 for a uniform release of pheromones over a time period that is as long as possible.
