Disclosed are a determination method of duration and a multi-cell/multicast coordination entity. The method comprises: an MCE determining to count MBMS services in an MBSFN region; the MCE configuring the MBMS services to be in the same counting procedure; the MCE determining duration of the counting procedure according to a modification cycle of an MCCH in each of the MBSFN regions. The present invention makes scheduling and reporting of a UE more reasonable, thereby decreasing counting procedure efficiency of all involved base stations.
