METHOD FOR INTEGRATING AT LEAST ONE FIELD DEVICE INTO A NETWORK FOR AUTOMATION ENGINEERING

The invention relates to a method for integrating a field device (F3) which is unknown in a network (KN) for automation engineering into an existing network (KN), wherein the method has the following method steps: - the unknown field device (F3) is incorporated into the network (KN) via the data bus (DB); - the field access unit (PAP) recognizes the field device (F3) which is unknown in the network (KN) and captures an explicit identification code from the field device (F3); - the field access unit (PAP) uses the explicit identification code to check whether the server or servers contain(s) an available information and/or logic model which supports the field device (F3) which is unknown in the network (KN); - if the relevant information/logic model is available then the field access unit (PAP) prompts the download of the information and/or logic model to the automation/integration platform (OPC-UA server); the information and/or logic model of the unknown field device (F3) is implemented in the automation/integration platform (OPC-UA server), as a result of which the field device (F3) is now known in the network (KN); the data which are present in the field device (F3) are accessed using the logical machine and/or the data which are present are interpreted on the basis of the information and/or logic model.
