The device (1) has an input for a speech signal (8), and a speech detection unit (24) for detecting whether instructions are contained in the speech signal. A decision maker (29) performs an output action (26) based on the instructions detected in the signal. Another speech detection unit (14) determines an actual speaker based on the speech signal and a stored speech profile. The decision maker is formed such that activation of the output action depends on identification of whether the instructions are arised form the speaker associated to the speech profile. An independent claim is also included for a method for activation and/or management of speech dialog in interior of a vehicle.
