The invention relates to a flap (200) for shutting off a duct along which fluid flows and which comprises a wall, the flap comprising a peripheral edge and being designed to be mounted, inside the duct, such that it rotates about an axis (Zv) between a position that opens and a position that closes off the duct to the flow of fluid, the edge of the flap (200) comprising at least one portion (206A, 2006B) that seals against fluid between the edge of the flap (200) and the wall of the duct (300) in the closing-off position and at least one portion (211, 211') that bears and seals against the wall of the duct (300) in the open position, in the closing-off position and as the flap (200) rotates between these positions. The invention also relates to a method of forming the said flap (200).
