An object of the present invention is to provide a holding sealing material (10) wherein projected and recessed portions (13a,13b) fit to each other and thus are prevented from overlapping even though slight displacement occurs due to deformation of the mat (11) when a single mat is rolled around a member to be wrapped or slight displacement between the mats occurs in the width direction when mats are rolled around a member to be wrapped. At least one corner portion of the projected portion is cut out on the side of the member to be wrapped or another corner portion of the quadrangle of the projected or recessed portions (13a,13b) is cut out.
