DETACHABLE GROUSER SPIKES FOR TRACK VEHICLES

Traction enhancing detachable spikes (106) are disposed on, and between, the grousers (104) and the shoes (106) of continuous tracks of motorized vehicles such as bull dozers, excavators, tanks, skid steers and the like. Spike receptacles (302) are permanently affixed to the track (101) of continuous track construction machinery, which spike receptacles (302) house outwardly protruding spikes (306). The spikes (306) are easily detachable and removable from the spike receptacle (302) to facilitate use of the subject motorized vehicles on flat and graded surfaces, such as pavement.
