The invention relates to a method for producing a folding or diaphragm bellows, in particular for use in vacuum interrupters in medium-voltage technology. In order to simplify the production of bellows and, at the same time, to increase the manufacturing quality, the invention proposes that the bellows is formed from a plurality of bellows or diaphragm rings (1, 2) by being stacked one on the other by solder or a connecting means which can be soldered being placed at least between the parts of the individual bellows or diaphragm rings which are to be soldered to one another, and that, after this, the entire stacked arrangement is thermally tempered to or above the soldering temperature of the solder or the connecting means which can be soldered.
